Frightened RabbitBucolic pop nippers Frightened Rabbit cook up a gratifying ragout of docile serenades, monster choruses, tufty alt-rock and gargantuan anthems. They're also savagely excellent live.
The Selkirk / Glasgow assemblage – who're signed to Brighton emporium Fat Cat (Animal Collective, Vashti Bunyan, The Bug) – first emerged, dewy-eyed, as gladdening stage-mates to party-punks Shitdisco, but have since broken loose to gambol alongside We Are Scientists, Charlottefield and fellow Scots the Twilight Sad.
The ambrosial four-piece recently re-released their demure debut, 'Sings The Greys', while a full-blown long-player, 'Midnight Organ Fight', is also fast approaching. It's assured to see Frightened Rabbit hold a mirror to the masses as we're rendered frigid, dazed and agog: stupefied by their glaring pop.
