JASON LEACH, who in 1995 founded the legendary underground
techno outfit, SUBHEAD, arrives in Glasgow for his first live subhead
performance here for 4 years. Leach was infamous before famous, due to
the extraordinary 'Growth' parties he promoted in London's Shoreditch
slums, which gave the likes of Claude Young, Jamie Lidell, and Si Begg
their first audiences. This pushed Hackney into the techno vernacular
(and to Jason's disappointment, its date with commercial
gentrification). He has since relocated to the far more credible city
of Scarborough. For this Scottish exclusive, Jason has written one of
the signature live sets that sustain his reputation as perhaps the
most innovative producer working at the hard edge of electronic music
today.
