JD Twitch & JG Wilkes

Helmsmen of Glasgow’s notorious Optimo hoe-down, JD Twitch & JG Wilkes’ searing weekly aural orgies have exposed the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Richie Hawtin, ESG, TV On The Radio, The Long Blondes and The Go! Team, while their pop-lubed, synth humped, punk-struck dogma propels their stirring DJ sets to clamouring party-starting, rapture.

Their recent, excellent Walkabout compilation – an extremely rare release via Japan’s new Endless Flight enterprise – synthesised industrial, techno, warped-rock and minimal house over a truly spleen-shattering track-list that included Pansonic’s ‘Hapatus’, Suicide’s ‘Radiation’, Black Dice’s ‘Manoman’, Throbbing Gristle’s ‘Walkabout’, and Boris’ ‘My Machine’.

JD Twitch & JG Wilkes play alongside Einsturzende Neubauten and Damo Suzuki at Glasgow Tramway on April 25; and with James Chance and Les Contortions at Glasgow Sub Club on April 29.
